Allan's Auto Repair

was referred to Allans by a reputable shop for a safety. they checked over my car and said it needed several things fixed, and provided an estimate. Felt their price was very high, returned to original garage to have repairs made. Total price was less than 1/3 of Allans price. Shop said they are trying to rip you off and we will no longer send anyone else to Allans. I returned to Allans and talked to the owner about the difference in repair costs and he became extremly angry.

I went there so a mechanic can heck my brakes they were makin grinding sound. I appreciate them looking at my car but i woukd of been charged $1500.00 and replace all 4 of my rotors break pads and capillary. I work 2 jobs I need my car for work. I had another person look at my car brakes for a 2nd opinion and he said my front brakes were fine and I did need to replace my back brake pads and could be fixed just under $300.00. I felt they would of taken advantage of me. Glad I got the 2nd opinion

Unethical business practices

Replaced an air conditioner belt without approval and failed to check the work done. A shield was installed too close to the pulley, making a loud noise. Could not have been checked after it was installed. Before a friend fixed it we returned the car to Allan's and he told us that we needed a new air conditioner compressor at a cost of $1000. No explanation why the compressor suddenly broke immediately after he worked on it. Similarly, misdiagnosed a knocking noise that was a simple fix.
