Great food & atmosphere, really enjoyed the rooftop patio, had chicken wings with draft beers, and afterwards downstairs in the sports bar area for a Jays game...can't wait for hockey & football seasons to start, great place to take the family for home-cooked meals, or beers & appys with buddies to catch a game...highly recommend it!
I was extremely disappointed with the 'new' Supreme Restaurant. I think the increased prices will pay for the fancy new building, but there was certainly no increase in the quality of the food - quite the opposite actually. Myself and 2 of my friends ordered the fish and chips special. The salad was the only edible part of the meal. The fish was literally swimming in grease and had no flavor. The french fries are obviously frozen, as they had that 'from the freezer' taste to them. Another friend ordered the salmon with mashed potatoes. The salmon was very overcooked and also flavorless. Worst of all were the mashed potatoes - they were the 'out of the box' variety!! When you are paying $18.00 for a meal, at least the potatoes should be 'real'. I just felt we were being served cheap food at inflated prices. Even the condiments (while in the 'Heniz' bottles) were clearly low grade. The waitress was very attentive and seemed upset when we had to admit the food was practically inedible (as evidenced by how much was left on each plate) I have dined there since I was a child and used to love the food. The breakfast is good, but I seriously advise avoiding the dinner menu.
This place never disappoints! We used to go to the old location for breakfast regularly and have rediscovered the new beautiful atmosphere. Supreme offers great new dinner options making this our go to place for a bite with friends or dinner before our movie since its so close to Burloak movie theatres. Beats spending a fortune at milestones for food that's not even half as good. We sat in the new bar area which was a great atmosphere with all the tv's and gleaming granite bar. I had the cheeseburger after the server told me it was made from scratch. One bite and you knew she wasn't kidding. My girlfriend had the quesadilla and the nachos which were so big I had to help her finish them. I highly recommend you try this place. Guarantee it will be your new restaurant of choice!
Haven`t been to the new place since it rebuilt it`s new restaurant in the new location. Heard from some people that the food and service wasn`t as good as it used to be but decided to try for ourselves since we have always loved their breakfast. Glad we did. Went in on a Sunday morning when it was quite busy. Waited just a few minutes to be seated which gave us a chance to admire the amazing new decor. Everything is so bright with all the windows and the decor is minimal but beautiful. Our waitress was quick to bring us coffee and take our order. I ordered the Supreme Eggs Benedict and my boyfriend ordered the Combo platter. The food came out quickly and the portions were huge. My peamel was tender and perfectly cooked as were my poached eggs which were neither too runny or hard which is sometimes the case when you order poached. My boyfriends platter was full of food. Two eggs perfectly done over easy, strip bacon that was crisp but not black and pancakes that were so big they were practically falling off the plate! He also had frsh cut watermelon and melon! During our breakfast we were not only looked after by our waitress but also another waitress who seemed to be one of the owners who came by our table to check on our meal and ask if this was our first visit back since the re-opening. Spent a few minutes chatting with us and other tables even though she was clearly busy with her own customers. Talk about making you feel welcome and appreciated as customers. Can`t remember the last time we got such individual attention for breakfast. With the new decor, amazing food and great value, this is definitely going to be our breakfast place of choice. Good job Supreme - we`ll see you for dinner!!
Wanted to give this place another try after checking it out during grand opening week when they were clearly trying to acclamate to their new surroundings. Are we ever glad we did! We started with the Supreme Flatbread as an appetizer. Glad we shared as this was a huge portion and very tasty. Two of us ordered the New York Steak special which came with soup to start. Soup was cream of mushroom which was creamy and full of mushroom slices. Clearly homemade. The steaks were huge and you couldn`t find a more tender, tasty steak anywhere including the local steak houses. Had mashed potatoes and fresh sauteed vegetables. My wife ordered the ever popular chicken souvlaki dinner. Portion was huge, the chicken was tender and came with rice, fries and greek salad with an abundance of feta cheese. My friends wife ordered their new meltdown burger after being told that it was freshly made on the premises. Best burger she`s ever had. We shared dessert - on dessert waffle for 2 freshly made in the waffle iron and one of the new key lime cheesecake which was also good. The entire meal cost $115 and this includes a bottle of wine!! Considering the extensive renovations - beautiful by the way - I really thought that the prices would have gone up but they have managed to keep them in check. I would be hard pressed to find a better meal for a better value anywhere in the city. Looking forward to the rooftop patio opening this Spring! Definitely recommend this place.
Went there a week after the Grand Openning for Breakfast. They alway put on a pretty good one before. And to support our local restaurant we went. We sat down, and it took 20 mins to get a coffee, then another 20 min to get our order in. they apologized for this so I thought, ok it's busy. Then waited another 20 mins to get our food. Which was cold, and when they served it they gave the orders wrong to both of us. so sitting there eating each others breakfest. we then finished our meals and waited another 20mins to get our bill. then another 15mins to get the dept machine. almost 2 hrs to sit down and have breakfest. Ridiculous. I consider myself to be a great tipper. I was in the restaurant business myself so I like to tip good for a good experience. this was not good. I have never tipped so low. Still tipped just over 15%, but still not good in my eyes if you get good service. Supreme, I loved you. but you have to do much better then this to get me back for a while. Nice new Restaurant, but not Impressed.
My wife and I went for a quick dinner, both deciding to have omellettes, instead of normal dinner fare. I ordered a spanish omellette. It was a total disaster. It consisted of a couple of eggs, covered with spaghetti sauce. The sauce had one small piece of green pepper, 2 small pieces of mushroom, and what appeared to be a slice of carrot. I had a few bites, and asked the waitress if this was a spanish omellette. She said that was the way they made them. She said some people love them, some people hate them. Mark me up for the latter. By no stretch of the imagination was that an omellette, and by no stretch of the imagination was that a spanish omellette. The waitress never even attempted to correct the situation. I will never, ever be back!
We go weekly to the Supreme for breakfast. I think it is one of Burlington's hidden little hotspots for breakfast. Breakfast comes out quick, even when it is custom ordered, off the menu. Food is wonderfully prepared, even for being a mom & pop restaurant. We have also gone there for dinner recently & have discovered the love of roast beef dinner with garlic bread & greek salad. Everything on the menu is economical, especially for a large family like ours. The plates are always full, and we end up taking most of it home!!! I hope they stay here at this location when all the construction is done at Appleby Mall!
This is the closest restaurant to us and so have been there several times. We eat there when we don't feel like doing dishes but its pretty average on a good day. We ate there for supper recently and my husband had the meatloaf and I had the tuna melt. The meatloaf had zero seasoning, the gravy was clearly from powder, the peas were from a can and tasted pretty horrible. My tuna melt was awful, had sweet miracle whip and something that could have been cheese on it but was tastless. The breakfast is ok but my husband ordered the eggs benedict the other day and it was very sweet which is bizarre because hollandaise sauce should have no sugar in it. The service is always excellent but dont go there for good food, go there for a break from the kitchen if you must.
No, it's not fine dining, but good basic home cooked food at a reasonable price. Service was great, & have returned often for breakfast & lunch when in the area.
Decor looked to be about from the Victorian age, and the regular diners looked to be from the same time period too. I made the mistake of ordering the spaghetti once and only once. Overcooked, and the meat sauce had the consistency of dog food. I however must commend them for an under $5 full breakfast. The food is pretty good during that time. It's the usual fare of toast, coffee, 2 eggs, breakfast meat and taters. service: Average servicing, but I had to walk to the cashier to get my check.
Great breakfast-perfect eggs wow. I know eggs are a basic but you ask for over easy and they don't kid around. amazing. A man who appears to be the owner or his son should hide. He was not friendly. Should consider not being in the restaurant business.
This is the best bang for your buck restaurant around. The food, and service are second to none. Whether you're in a hurry or want to sit and enjoy its all good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some great breakfast at a great price.
Excellent food. Fries were hot and crispy with a soft center: perfect. Sandwich was thick with real turkey (not sliced) and thick fresh tomato. Although she came back with top up for my tea, it took nearly 15 minutes to pay the bill. I'll be back though: the food was great.
this is a greasy spoon at it's best, with the cheezy decor to boot! Don't take too long deciding - it's not rocket science! the waitresses are no nonsense, they want to turn those tables as fast as they can so those of us that have to wait from time to time are thankful for that! stick to the breakfast basics and you won't be disappointed! friends and i go every week - great bang for your buck!
Great for breakfast. Our family goes there at least twice a month. The grand slam feeds us great. Sometimes I feel like an omlette and am never disappointed. The perfect greasy spoon.
While I went to Robert Bateman/Lord Elgin High School my friends and I would go for breakfast at Supreme. The food was always good and quick. The servers were great even if a few of our friends weren't ordering.
We go there for breakfast every sunday because its that good. Breakfast tastes great, my favourite is the grilled cheese & bacon sandwich with homefries. Staff is pleasant, and always greets you with a smile. This mixed with a great price --> you can't go wrong.
