Statim 2000 - repeat breaking down
Have a Statim 2000. This sterilizer is a repeat offender at breaking down and they are costly repairs $$$$$ each time. This time the key pad has broken down, it is a simple repair. Went to one supplier (as this company does not deal directly with customers), was under impression that they had an account with them. Decided to go down and personally pick up the part to expedite the repair and decrease cost. Unfortunately, the one supplier had no account there (apparently, sci can does not like to approve many suppliers). Had to call another supplier, Specialty Dental, for part to be released, ok. Got the part, after explaining what sterilizer it was to sci can there are 2 types of keypads, the wrong number was given to me and ordered the wrong part. Now, return to sci can to exchange for correct part. Speak with the rep from supply company he refused to offer refund. Sci Can offers to talk to the supply company on my behalf. Here is the deal, I am now required to take the sterilizer up to the company and pay them to repair it, If I do not, then I will not get a refund. SCI CAN arranges this deal after telling me that the wrongly ordered part is refundable. Now, Peter from Specialty dental company starts being verbally abusive with me and making derogatory comments, that they are not going to refund my money unless it is taken to them. Essentially, the dental supplier is upset that they are not able to make more $$$$$ and have now found a way to extract more money and sci can goes along with it. Statims are NOT RELIABLE and EXPENSIVE TO REPAIR. BEST to stay away from them.
