Under managed, understaffed. Left after 1.5h pizza not even in the oven. When inquired about timing of delivery the waitress replied ‘kitchen staff already yelled at me’

Great ambience. Good service. Has potential to be great! Unfortunately, food is mediocre. The carbonara pasta was bland, drowning in oil and the portion would barely satisfy a 90 pound anemic person. It has potential though!

The Best Sushi in Oakville

This place is the best Lunch combo value for sushi in Oakville. For $ 12.00 dollars or less you get a warm and tasty miso soup, your always fresh entree, tasty veggies , fruit and green tea all included . The people are super friendly . The owner Michael is the chef and lets you know you are special . Oh yes , I forgot to tell you the sushi is awesome ! I bring all my friends

Excellent Food, Excellent Service

I stumbled upon this place while looking for food at lunch time, now I come here often! The food is amazing, the best I have had in the GTA. The service is always fast, friendly and courteous. I am creating addicts amongst my friends when I bring them here!! but they are grateful, as the food is always fresh, full of flavor and reasonably priced. Definately recommend for both lunch/takeout and dinner!

Fresh, friendly, flavorful

I have been a regular customer of Guirei Japanese Restaurant since 2008. Having visited Japan and countless Japanese restaurants in the GTA I am always left disappointed if I must visit another Japanese restaurant...Michael sincerely cares about the food he serves at Guirei and takes great pride in doing so! The sashimi is outstanding and the accompaniments are scrumptous! I have brought many of my friends and colleagues to Guirei and they are now regular customers too!!! I would recommend Guirei to those that value an authentic, quality Japanese restaurant!

Amazing improvement from Nikko

The last review is absolutely insane. This place had the most amazing food I've had in years. I loved this place. Candles added to a great mood and the lights were dimmed to a perfect light. The food is scrumptious. The sushi is so creatively put together, and to top it off, it taste great!!!! I'm going to become a regular customer, no doubt. And the service is very friendly and can help with all needs. I will definetely be coming back, again with no doubt. Love it.

A disappointing change from Nikko's

Our office went for lunch at Guirei not realizing that it was no longer Nikko's. What a disappointment. The price of food has gone up significantly and the value has dropped significantly. The menu is very confusing with items such as 'Viagra Maki' and 'Snail Maki' with escargot, apples, mayonaise and blueberry sauce??? With so many sushi options in Oakville, I will not be returning here - it's not worth the money.
