My first sugaring experience was great at Epic, Cheryl did a very good job for my brows and upper lip. My upper lip felt so soft after the treatment, looks like I just did a facial treatment. My brows' shape looks great and clean, Cheryl knows how to shape my brows; may be because she is a makeup artist as well. The Spa room is tidy and cozy, I really like the atmosphere in the Salon. Everyone is friendly and they carries quality products. I will definitely come back again!
I love this place. I drive across the entire city just to get there! Desiree is the very best. I have never met a stylist that possesses talent like her. I also love the product lines that they sell. I feel like it is a very special treat to go there and be pampered and take home a beautiful product after each service.

I'm so glad I finally found a place like this. The service is great, and they have a great selection of product. Desiree is an amazing stylist, and Sharleen is the best esthetician I've ever had, I love those girls <3!!!
I more then 100% agree with pikles123, and so would some of my friends and co-workers.
We would frequent Epic Beauty Boutique when it opened in the summer. The products are awesome! very unique pretty stuff that focuses on organic products too! (which I love) They are now my one stop shop for all my pampering needs. I see one stylist there and have been since the summer, my friends have seen both girls (2 stylists there...nice and small) and the talent is remarkable! I've been to many high-end salons in Vancouver and Toronto, and this place is the funkiest! with a price for the talent that no one can beat!
Sharleen the aesthetition does the best Brazilians this side of the equator! super cute gal. Love love Epic, and love getting my fix!
I am sooooo happy this place opened! I live near by and have been waiting for something to open in our area!
I also purchased a Groupon and have been getting brazilians for years...nobody has ever done it as good as Sharleen at Epic!!!!
Of course it hurt a bit, who are we kidding, but it was never as quick and comfortable...and i do have to say it hurt less then at other places!!! I have one more Groupon visit left and can confidently say that I will keep going back to Epic Beauty Boutique. After my first visit Sharleen asked whether I need a Hair Stylist and since my old girl recently moved to Calgary I did. I got a card for 10% off and used it 1 week ago!!! My highlights/lowlights have never looked this natural, the service was very friendly and fun! They have several options for free beverages (latte, mocha, etc....) which I accepted gratefully and I left nothing but impressed and sooooo happy to have found this little gem!
After buying an 85$ groupon for 3 Brazilians, I thought I would give Epic Beauty a try. I found out I was pregnant shortly after, and therefore opted not to put myself into preterm labour by inflicting pain to my body and checked the groupon fineprint. It said I could use the 85$ for cash value if i didn't get the Brazilians or the groupon expired. So I decided I would book a hair appointment and use the $$ towards that instead. Good deal right?
When I booked the appointment over the phone, the girl put me on hold to "check her schedule" while she finished her conversation about "annoying people, like oh my God" (I heard the whole two minute episode while I waited on hold). And booked me in for the following day. SOOOOO busy...
When I arrived, the girl I saw recommended I do a partial foil, low light, as I have a lot of hair and she only booked me for two and a half hours...
I should have run at this point.
But I didn't.
So maybe the rest is my own fault:
I asked about the groupon and explained my situation, and was met with a prompt, no we can't do that it's only for the option purchased. I was also told extreme pain during pregnancy is safe and that lots of pregnant ladies get it done. Wow. Another girl did my hair;
She quickly did my foils, and handed me some magazines to read while she worked...While my foils sat, she cut another ladies hair who walked in (about 30 minutes). NICE.
At the end my hair was conditioned in cold water with cheap shampoo, and I was given a 5 minute trim.
HERE'S THE PUNCH LINE: 180$ FOR A PARTIAL FOIL (SHOTTILY DONE) AND A 5 MINUTE TRIM. No styling, no shampoo, no nadda.
This salon will quickly lose clients, I will not be the only one.
OH and my partial was patchy and I had to pay my regular stylist 60$ to fix it (she gave me a break because she felt so bad for what happened at Epic).
SILVER LINING: I contacted groupon and was refunded my 85$ no hassles.

This is NOT how we deal with customers and I would really appreciate it if you could contact me personally so that I can look up who did your hair and review this incident! We have had another lady who couldn't use her group on and we absolutely gave her cash value for it, so I am not sure why you would have not been awarded the same. I really would like to know, which of my staff members has treated you the way you explained so that proper actions can be taken.
I do have to say that one of your comments is def. not true...we use 2 types of shampoos in our back bar, one is John Masters Organics and one Oribe Hair Care....regardless of which one she would have chosen for your hair, they definitely are not cheap, on the contrary, they are more on the high-end side and available for purchase in our shop. We do not carry everyday-shampoos that you can purchase in other salons nor do we use low-end shampoos and conditioners for our customers!
So please, contact me, i see this was posted 3 days ago so your experience must have been quite recent...I would like to discuss this with you.
