Dave Ridd had plans for his post high-school life: secondary education, work a little bit and own his own business all before the age of 25. So that’s exactly what he did.
“I worked at St. Albert Sports when I was 16, and attended the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) business program after high school,” Dave explains. “I worked fulltime at the sports store after graduation, then I got into sales in the safety field.” But Dave's love of sports wasn't ready to let him go for good. When a local sports store was bought by his mother’s friend, Pat Kane, Dave started thinking. “My mom broached the topic, and I was interested. So Pat and I met and talked. Eventually, we agreed that a combination of a monetary investment and sweat equity from myself would be enough to begin a partnership in St. Albert Source for Sports.”
Amazing prices and service that is second to none. How many businesses can you go into and have the owner and his son great you at door and look after your needs? Wonderful service!
I took my bike in for some seasonal repairs. They had me in and out in no time at all! They were fair with the price and even gave me a few good deals on some new accessories!
