If I could rate it 0 I would. Cesar dressing was way too garlicy, no meat in the "meat lovers" sauce, pizza dough was still raw, our loaf of bread was wrapped in paper towel, it was cold, AND it took an hour and a half to be delivered. I'm sorry but this is ridiculous for something that tastes like boiled noodles and ragu sauce. I'm very very very unimpressed and would never recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Always nice. This is a great little spot. The wine list is the only thing that needs to be improved. We alsways have a good meal, home cooked, & fresh.
Just finished dinner at Ninos and once again had a great meal! Every time I go the food never fails to impress me. Very good authentic Italian food. Definitely a hidden gem in Barrie. Check it out!
I decided to try this restaurant since I have wanted to for some time. Had 13 people there to celebrate my Birthday last night. I found the food to be expensive for the portion sizes. Found the service to be okay.
After leaving I was standing outside saying goodbye to one of my guests when the waitress came out and asked if the service was okay since nobody left a tip.
I said the service was fine and had no idea since I wasn't responsible for the bill payment. Each couple paid their own way. I of course was very disgusted by the behavior of the waitress. I checked with my guests who said that they did indeed leave tips and also were disgusted by the waitresses behavior. I will never return to this restaurant, nor will any of my friends and family. Unfortunately I will be telling others of my experience and not recommending anyone to eat here. This whole experience left a very bad taste in my mouth!
Portions were small, we were all still hungry after dinner, ordered an apitizer and then dinner all at once was expecting the appitizer to arrive well before the main meal, it came 2 mins apart. Alsmost feeling rushed to hurry up and eat and get out..
Food tasted good like I said just small portions, you'd think you would have more food considering pasta is really cheap to buy and make :) not sure if we will go back..
Traditional Italian Sicilian food! Excellent. All seems to be made from scrath, savours your taste buds. Being a true Italian, we recognized the home made taste of this cozy restaurant. Nothing touches the Italian authenticity of Nino's in the Barrie area.
Nino's is amazing. Definitely the best kept secret around. The pasta sauce is outstanding. The servers are excellent, and very humble. They sometimes seem almost surprised when complimented. Dinner for 2 or a family dinner - this is an amazing place.
Excellent Meatball sandwich too.
Had our company Christmas party here,and like previous visits, always great service and quite possibly the BEST Itailian food in Barrie. This has become one of my favorite places for an evening out dining.
Food tasted pretty good, just not a good value. The food was expensive for the amount. Servings small, no salad with pasta even though price is 2-3 dollars more at other restaurants. The meat dish was served with a side of spaghetti on a separate plate, it tasted fine but it sure didn't look as good as it should and left hungry. And, time we sat 35-40 minutes between the time the order was taken and when it was served. I would expect this if the restaurant was full but there was only two other tables sitting. We will not be going there again
tasty but a big ripoff, tiny portions and long wait for it, had one drink was never asked if we wanted another, take out phone rang constantly and only lone server was doing it all. Never Again NINO!
This place makes me wonder why so many people like it. My bruscetta (although cheap) wasn't even close to authentic (pizza sauce, mozza and green olives)...i ate it because I was hungry. The larger guy friends with us ordered the manicotti for 14 dollars. The server failed to tell them that the portion size was extremely small and nothing comes with it...so they all left and grabbed some fast food after we were done. Service was horrible...she acted like she was afraid of us and barely came to the table to check on us...not to mention that we had to ask for our bottle of wine back because she took it away with nearly a glass and a half of wine still it! NEVER again.
