Another positive, but not glowing, review
Before writing this, most of the important elements have been captured in previous reviews. Since its exposure on Food Network's, "You Gotta Eat Here", our server said that business has been busier than ever. Therefore, be patient and be prepared to wait for a table. We waited no less than 45 minutes on a Saturday night. It is a rather small dining room. What we ordered is listed below. The thick-style pizza crust texture is almost bread-like and therefore quite filling. Previous reviews have commented on the abundance of cheese and our experience was no exception. I love cheese on pizza as much as the next person, but yes, you CAN have too much of a good thing. It eclipsed the taste of the sauce and some of the toppings. Pepperoni on a pizza should be caramelized but sadly, it wasn't (I blame it on too much cheese). Nevertheless, the pizza was otherwise enjoyable and the Italian sausage premium topping was a nice touch. The chicken breast as part of the tortellini platter was very nicely seasoned and not dry at all. Bread service would have been a nice touch as there was too much sauce served with this dish. Portions are generous all around. Both the salad and soup were good. The caeser salad had pancetta - again, a nice touch. If you decide to dine here, come patient but very hungry. I may return if I'm feeling that combination some time. I might be bold enough to ask them to reduce the cheese on my next visit.
