So Rude. the worst experience I ever had before. I was yelled at my face by a waitress. she was shouting me Not waiting outside !!! I have no words !!! I left!
VERY IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW! The hygiene practice in this restaurant is questionable. We were seated where they have the area for making tea for patrons and they waitress/waiters use their hands to scoop the tea and throw it in the pot. You will be using the same tea pot that somebody else use as the only thing they do is dump the tea in the sink and refill the pot with the new tea. we saw them wash the glasses with just a quick rinse (no soaping) and wipe it with the rag.
Hard to call for service. The other server lady doesn't speak English or French when stop just ignored and ran away and then a waiter named Fosheng demands a tip for the $42 bill and tells me to go eat at the food court. Too bad the owner is in china
DIMSUM IS GOOD BUT YOU HAVE TO WAIT FOR 2 HRS. BEFORE U CAN HAVE IT.LIMITED FOOD THAT IT COULDN'T EVEN REACH YOUR TABLE.IF U ASK THE STAFF THEY JUST SAID LATER, BUT WAITED FOR 2 HRS AND STILL NO FOOD COMES.SIOMAI IS GOOD BUT U HAVE TO WAIT FOR AGES BEFORE U CAN HAVE THEM.
omg I went to perfect chinese and there service is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo BADDDDDDDDDDDD!! PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE , ITS JUST A WASTE OF MONEY. THEY DONT EVEN GIVE THE PLATES OR ANYTHING TO EAT IN, I asked for everything myself and never agiin will i go there. The manager to the workers are sooooo MEAN!! THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO TREAT CUSTOMERS WITH RESPECT AT ALL. Infacr when I personally went to the manager to complain she said; she doesnt care to me!! WOW = SO GUYS PLEASE TELL YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY DO NOT GO THERE. YOU WONT GET RESPECT THERE- SO WHY WASTE THE MONEY???????? PLEASE PASS THHIS MESSAGE GUUYSS
Dirty and unattentive service. We were given one napkin for 5 people, a few bowls, not enough cups for tea and some chopsticks which smelled strongly of bleach making us lose our appetite. The tanks of fish at the front were unappealing and I was disgusted to see a crayfish leg stuck to the side of the tank. There was a hair in my food and my daughters spoon had crusted food on it and the tea pot was stained and had old tea leaves stuck to it. This is not an exaggeration.
This is one of my favourite Chinese restaurants because of the food alone. Sure the service is nothing to write home about, and the atmosphere is just above par- I go here for the food! Their peking duck is great, the fried beef with broccoli is even better and the braised tofu dishes are awesome as well. Highly recommended.
i was there a few days ago with my friends and we sat in the VIP room to eat dim sum. The service was worst than i ever thought. The waitress with short black hair, with glasses was extremely rude. She never smiles. I tell her to refill my tea pot, and she ignores us. After 10 minutes, she finally fills up the tea pot and bangs is on the table with a mean expression on her face as if we were really annoying. worst service in my life. Never coming back!!!
i was there with 2 friends on sunday, september 19, 2010. the food is mediocre and the service was horribly bad. the wait staff were extremely rude and made us feel as though we were annoying them (for simply asking for a spoon, for example). i have never experienced this lack of service in my life. we received exceptional service from one gentleman alone; his name is ringo. he was courteous, professional, and observant (ie: noticed that we were waiting for additional dishes, needed more tea, needed refills of water, etc.). one thing i have to say is that their dim sum is not too bad for the price (it is cheap), but there is also another dim sum place at the NE corner of brimley & sheppard. this place is located upstairs in the mall and offers cheap dim sum, good food, and wonderful service (believe me)... i will never return to this establishment again...
This 24 hour authentic Chinese restaurant is one of my family favourties. Food is always hot and free soup and dessert for Chinese customers. (too authentic for non-Chinese) Service is average because it is a busy restaurant and not enough waiters/waitresses. Waiting time can be long on weekends. My advice is to arrive before 11:00am for dim sum and 5:00pm for dinner. Make sure you know what you are ordering because this is an authentic Chinese restaurant.
The food is more authentic chinese than some. However, the Peking duck special was put aside in the sense that they wish you didn't order them. I knew about the special pricing because I ate there before. Also they seem to serve complimentary soup and desserts to Chinese customers - and I was served even though I am a Chinese. Double standard practices. Not good for business.
my girlfriend and my self have stoped going to this restaurant, Ok I'm not even going to start about their service, if you don't leave a tip they will ask you for one or wait at your table until they get one. Plus you should inspect your food before eating it as we found our fried rice had a hair in it and that was not the first time, stupid us. You don't even want to get take out because they usually give you the wrong order and by the time your home thats when you figure out you got the wrong order and they want you to come back wait a next hour for your correct order or if you want your money back you have to argue with them. This restaurant may have great tasting food but it's not all that perfect if you ask me
Worst place ever. Dirty, slow service, rude servers, food not even that good at all. We were there for dim sum, and it was packed. They had no way of controlling the crowds and people were everywhere hover over people at their tables. The service was slow, it took 10 mins before a new cart would come out, so if you are hungry don't come here because your stomach will start eating itself. The servers were rude and took forever to bring new cutlery that was clean. The chairs there are so disgusting. The are so old and stained and gross looking. At least get seat covers for them.
Best time to go: Weekends early morning (around 10 or so). It's a busy place around then but you're guaranteed fresh food! For four people, the price came out to be around $33 ($40 with tip). We had about 16 dishes between the four of us and each dish was very flavourful. Obviously, the service isn't going to be stellar, but it's not terrible either. Their char siu bao is really, really good. Don't be afraid to try different things because you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Worst service, Dishes and cutlery are dirty with left over food sticking and food is tasteless. We used to go to this place for years and since around early 2007 the service and food started to take a down-turn. In our first visit we ordered chicken hot-pot and steam rice, what we got was lots of small steel/aluminum balls in the curry from the pot. The manager understood the problem and offered us a replacement as we were disappointed we refused to eat and ready to leave the place we were shocked to get a bill for the Chicken Hot-pot and when we yelled at them they said we don’t have to pay for the hot-pot with steel balls. In our second visit last week: The plates were sticking with left over soup or something and when that was replaced the folk had similar residue and the soup bowel as well and eventually all got replaced but the waiters didn’t care to apologies or willing to listen. The curries were delivered and were sitting on the table for about 10 minutes where we just had to stair at it until the rice was delivered. We left the place and will never go back again to give them a chance again. Overall this place is filthy, tasteless food and rude servers who may have been underpaid and over worked.
plain and simple, you want GOOD food, go here. you want GOOD service, go elsewhere!
Agreeing with "its obvious many of the reviewers . . .", get over it people. Service isnt bad, its normal. If you want food, u yell to waiter or waitress. Its busy all around so ofcourse u have to wait in line for long time. The food there is great, and cheap (no wonder its so busy). You want napkins? go to empty table and get as many as u want. Awful managers? maybe its because you were rude first. You got a problem with the bill for dimsum? they mark down 1 for everyone one the put down, so if they did mark a dimsum down for one u didnt eat, how come you didnt spot it in the first place? Found hair in your food? get use to it, its not gonna kill you to shove it off the side. Its not a 5 star high class restraunt so dont expect it to be. Service is normal, if you think this is bad, go to china and feel what "Bad service" really is. REally, "irishmike" really hits the spot and understands. The food today i had there was great, service was okay. No complaints, food was cheap, and ofcourse, even though the wait was long, they still gave us a table at a reasonable time. 1.40 per dish, try finding cheaper dimsum. Where i live its 2.50 per dish >.>. Have patience and enjoy the food jeez
My family and I use to eat at this restaurant often long ago and now we came back again. It is known as and have said so by many how the service is disastrous. True. Since the food is not really cheap so we usually order the same dishes of food. First off, as eyes could see we said there were 5 people, so why did the waiter still have to ask how many when he checked our order? Is he hinting that only 5 people eat so little food? or the food we ordered are not expensive food so it doesn't meet his expectations? Okay about the food, the oysters were like around $2.50 each and how ridiculous is this? The oyster shell was large but the meat was only size of a penny..really it was. And it could easily be taken out like somebody rearranged it and put in there. The soup at the beginning was cold. Chinese families usually gets free desserts (red bean paste) everytime we come we would be served with desserts, even if it was late and no desserts, at least they would serve us oranges. But when we finish doggybagging the food, the manager just glared at us and gave us the bill and said 'sorry we ran out of desserts.' but the previous table had desserts, why such a coincidence that when it came to our table there could be no desserts? there wasn't even oranges served even if there were no desserts. not even fortune cookies? We're not greedy about getting desserts, serving desserts is a general courtesy which they are known to do for customers. We were thinking maybe because they recognize us always eating the same cheap food so they didn't waste the time to give to us but only to those that ate expensive food. One of the food dishes is a combination (expensive orders only) will be served desserts..and if they said ran out then what happens if someone else orders that expensive order which was suppose to come and served with desserts? ran out too? whether customers order cheap or expensive food, aren't they suppose to serve everyone equally? even if we just order drinks, they still are suppose to serve us well and not with that kind of attitude and being judgmental. yes also, the waiters/waitresses would throw the plates and cups loudly on the table..whoa if there were glass it could have splashed into the bowl. Also, my mom and sister saw when the waitress was holding tray of glass cups with ice, when the ice fell into the tray, the waitress just picked it up and put it back into the glass with her finger. Btw, I saw her stratch her nose and hair with her hands. I can't believe my dad still gave them $2 something tips. If it were me paying, I'll give them the exact amount...won't be seeing us come again...cuz even when there was renovation but the attitude and judgment from servers and managers is really awful is all i can say.
PLACE IS GREAT. Service is soooooo gooood, waiters yelling was amazing I LOVE PERFECT..ITS SOOO PERFECT..I recomended after clubs. THANK YOU MR PERFECT..Your the greatest. Sincerly, #1 Fan.
The food was excellent! Very fresh and tasty! LOL, I'm surprized and relieved to find out we weren't the only ones who got bad service! Yeah, that was my number one complaint. The waiter's were unfriendly and we were not provided with a knife or any napkins. They served our food in a sloppy manner as well. But, I'm sorry it's one of those things were I love the food so much, I'd go back, but, probably just take-out next time.
