Used to love this place and go several times per week for a glass of wine and their delicious grilled cheese sandwich but, since Dec./17, they have repeatedly told me they had no red wine(!) so I would settle for white. The last time, in Jan./18, they announced that they had no wine at all - so I haven't been back.
Only came here cause i thought it was a vegetarian restaurant. I was very dissapointed because the menu was NOT fully vegetarian but instead was half and half and there was not much of variety of foods. Reading the reviews below was totally a different experience for me. It seemed like the menu had changed alot! The food was okay but it felt like i could have made those kinds of foods at home so it wasn't very unique. There was only one server at the time so service was very slow ( waited for food for about 25mins ) The atmosphere looked very dingy... and not clean.. seemed more like a bar then a restaurant.
It was our first time here, so we decided to order a lot of food to try a good variety. Service was amazing, food was delicious, atmosphere was great. One of us is vegan, and the other vegetarian - we've lived in toronto for 10 years - and this was by far the best experience we've had at a vegetarian restuarant in this city.
Forget live organic, frssen, fresh, and all the others - this is the place to be.
I love this restaurant because the atmosphere always had great music, it's quaint and the servers are attentitive. The food is always good there and when you ask for specifics like dry scrambled eggs they actual listen(unlike many places). Plus the coffee is good but the only thing to remember is on weekends to get there early because the space is limited and you may have to wait. The wait is worthwhile though so give it a try.
