Gateway Mechanical Services

My furnace cycle shuts down. House still cold. Called Gateway.Technician arrived and stated I needed a new motor among other parts to the tune of $ 1000.00 - 1200.00. Shocked that I needed a new motor. No obvious whining or electrical noise involving brush or whining coming from the a motor as sign fatigue or failure. Told the Gateway service tech, have to re-book another appointment - picking up my children from school. Called Central Mechanical... Dirty Filter and Dirty Blades 1 hr. $135.00

I had a plumbing flange let go. what should have been a fifteen minute fix to re-flange the pipe ended up in a disaster where the flange cracked. The second time the plumber spent about an hour trying to tighten the flange and loosened every other part of the fitting in the process. After tightening it, he did not pressure test the line and after I unthawed the line and put water through the fitting, it leaked again. I was so fed up, I bought the tools and fixed it myself.
