I was recommended to take my car to Tires 2 Go to have my snow tires change over to my regular tires for the summer. After the job was complete, the owner test drive my car to find out my brakes were bad. He ordered the parts and charged accordingly the labor included. I was very pleased with the service and the care received. The price was reasonable as well.
I brought a set of tires and wheels to this shop to have them installed twice. Once this past spring and again last week. I was in a hurry when I dropped of the set the second time and forgot to ask what the charge would be. Given it was the exact same work as 6 months previous I figured the cost wold be more or less the same. When the job was done the owner told me it would be %50 higher than the previous time which is about 3 times what the same work cost me across town a few weeks earlier for my snow tires. We had a discussion about it and he claimed there was additional work, but his story didn't jive with what the installer had said. He also claimed that the cost was higher because he installed high end new stems and stick on hidden weights. The wheels came back with the same stems as before and knock on weights, on low profile aftermarket sport wheels no less.
If you deal with this shop get a quote in writing before hand and ask for any old parts back after the work is done.
