With convenient locations in both historic Inglewood and Eau Claire Market, Artesano Galleria offers an eclectic collection of collectibles, kitchenware and home décor. It is Calgary’s destination for everyone searching for something special and truly unique to present to their loved ones.
In 1999, Wendy Bach opened the Inglewood location as a small, high-end Mexican gallery, while operating her casting business in the back. “I think this store was before its time, but then we just brought in some really neat Disney lines and just really continued to evolve the business to what it is today,” explains Wendy. She bought up the next door location in 2010 and added kitchenware and home décor to Artesano Galleria’s product mix. In 2012, she opened her second location to better serve Calgary shoppers. “At Eau Claire, we did a mix of all three, so it’s kind of a weird dynamic, but it works,” smiles Wendy.
“We have such a collection of unique finds, it’s absolutely random. We really, really, really get out there and search for gadgets that you can’t find easily,” says Wendy, who continually scours gifts shows for unique products that keep up the wow factor that Artesano Galleria is known for. “Fortunately, since we’ve been in business for a long time, we have a good reputation amongst the reps and they know our tastes, so they come to us when they have a really cool item, which is kind of nice!”
