The chicken was "real" and sauces homemade.
In a world of "heat and serve" it was indeed a pleasure to find a place that still does homemade cooking right! The servers were friendly and prompt.
I went there with my family for lunch when visitng with my sister. We all had a good meal and the watiress was very nice. I have been there before and my sister visits often and she always has an enjoyable time. The food is family diner style, bigger portions and good "homey" cooking. I appreciate that I can alter things on the menu seeing as Iam a vegetarian. I once asked for a tomato sandwich and the waitress told me that the tomatoes were grown in her very yard-nice touch!
I eat there twice a week and sometimes I have even been in the kitchen. I have never noticed anything that I thought to be unusual. I have always found the food to be good. As a manager in retail I always try to remember that staff can be your biggest asset and your biggest liability. Don't always believe what you hear.
