A Gem in Scarborough

Was highly recommended by a friend of mine whose family are regulars at Kimling. She catered from Kimling for her son's first birthday party and I was instantly addicted to Kimling's food when I had it at the party. I went last friday with a group of 8 to satisfy my cravings. My friend told me to look for Suzie who is the owner. She is such a friendly lady and made us feel welcomed. She also suggested all the dishes we ordered. They were all delicious. My kids made me order the appetizer called Pepper Chicken thrice because they really enjoyed it! I even ordered the Pepper Chicken, Hakka Noodles and Hot Garlic Chicken to go because they were so good. I will definitely be back and will recommend more friends and family to this little gem in Scarborough.

Best Hakka in the East end

This is by far the best Hakka food I have had in the east end of TO, I am so glad I was introduced to it and Sue the owner is an absolute pleasure to deal with. Food is always made quickly and the staff is always very friendly. I visit Kimling as often as twice a week and my office is not that close, I pass several other restaurants on my way to it.

Excellent food, service and recommendations provided by the restaurant. Food is delicious, not greasy and a wide range of choices, partcularly in the seafood category which I absolutely love. You can get a great lunch at a fantastic price. It is located in a small strip plaza, but do not be put off by the location or the outside appearance.

Great place

I am vegetarian and I always order the manchu veg balls and mix veg fried rice. I have no idea what Sona was talking about. The manchu balls are deep fried so its very crispy and I like the sauce that it comes in. Mouthwatering...The restaurant is clean, inviting and has a nice atmosphere. The service is quick and the food always comes out fast and hot. I was just there yesterday.

We are regulars at Kimling. We love coming here with our family for our Hakka food cravings. The manager always welcomes us with a friendly smile. The food is great, the service is amazing and the place is pleasant. We always recommend our friends here and they also have great reviews!

Dissapointed with Customer Service

After today's visit, id say i will never ever go back to Kimling. Ia m a regular customer as I work around the corner. I had ordered Manchurian Vege balls and when i tried to cut the Manchurian balls in half to eat they were hard rock. At one point I almost got it outta my plate. I called the lady (think she's the owner ot manager) who stands by the counter and told her what the problem was and she was very rude and started arguing with me that this has never happened and that is not posssible. I even tried using my fork to half the manchurian balls but still she kept on arguing with me. I was gonna order something else instead but the attitude i got from her was unbelievable and she forced me to eat that, pack that and take it home. Why should i do that? Anyways! in all... She made me pay for the food and didn't even apologize. No wonder not many ppl return back to this restaurant. Food is awful and most importantly the service is awful! They basically forced me to pay. Loosers
