Hoito Restaurant est un établissement convivial. Hoito Restaurant est ouvert en soirée tous les jours de la semaine. L'accès est aisé par transport en commun, ainsi que par vélo. Ils sont parfaitement situés dans un quartier coloré reconnu pour sa vie nocturne.
I have been going to the Hoito for years, and will continue to visit the Hoito. The pancakes are amazing, the liver is always cooked great as well. The piirakka is always fantastic and the moijakka is like my mummo used to make! It always disappoints me though when 'out of towners' don't respect this restaurant like the rest of our city does... it seems they get the impression they are going to Tavern On The Green or something. The Hoito is about friendly, family oriented atmosphere, and great quality food. The fact that you don't have to wait for the table to be cleared or the waitress to bring you to the table is a great time saver. The Finn foods and staff always bring back wonderful memories of my Mummo and Pappa when I was a kid. Kiitos!

Great dining experience...love that tasty pumpkin pie! Excellent, courteous staff... by the way, the sign reads: please do not sit at tables until they are cleaned. This helps the staff to correctly identify you as a new diner and not one sitting around waiting for your bill after a finished meal. Makes sense and helps the bus people clean more efficiently and without getting food on people.. cheers!
We were visiting T.Bay but live in Toronto. We truly enjoyed the finnish food served at this restaurant. My husband and myself are finnish, So it was wonderful to eat truly finnish food. We have one comment on the food. The coffee was very weak. Finlanders are know to be huge coffee drinkers and we like it STRONG. Please make your coffee stronger, for us true finlanders.
If you ever visit Thunder Bay, the Hoito Restaurant is a place you MUST visit before you leave. It is a landmark. The food is always delicious and worth well more than you pay for it! The prices are so low. Be prepared for a line-up if you go for breakfast on the weekends, but know that it moves quickly and is worth the wait. I've been there for supper, too, and it's tasty and cheap as well. It's certainly not fine dining, but it's good eats!! Make sure you visit!
