A family that stays together eats together. It might be a variation of the original saying, but it fits appropriately when you meet Dilraj Aryal and his younger brother Yuvraj Aryal. They are the proud owners of the Indian restaurant Bombay Grill, which has several branches in the Greater Toronto Area, including Burlington, Ajax, Hamilton, Milton and Markham.
The brothers worked as chefs in several Indian restaurants in Calgary and Toronto before starting their first restaurant in Burlington. “Therefore, it was a no-brainer and in 2002, we made the obvious but risky decision to open our first restaurant,” says Dilraj.
Dilraj says it was their dream to run their own establishment and they thought it was important to give it at least one good shot. “Failure was never an option, but it was still at the back of our minds even though we had all the necessary skills to be successful,” he says.
The brothers are originally from Delhi, India, but they opted to use Bombay in their restaurant’s name. “The city, Bombay, was more known to Canadians than Delhi, so it preceded over the latter,” says Dilraj. “And since we were excellent at making grilled food, we named our restaurant Bombay Grill.”

Keep coming back for more Korma - absolutely THE BEST I have ever had!!!
Service is a bit slow and the restaurant is not all too attractive. However, their food is worth running a marathon in the middle of winter for. I picked a random date above but go there as often as I possibly can. I can't eat paneer makhani anywhere else because it is just way too good here and therefore not worth eating anywhere else anymore! Their naan is perfect, just perfect. My boyfriend's family drives all the way to Toronto to come to Burlington's little Bombay grill... the food is THAT good. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water.
Butter chicken/kebabs is superb & so are the naan breads. Staff/owner really friendly & their food is consistently good. Best indian restaurant in oakville/burlington for sure.
One of the better Indian restaurants I have tried. Food is consistently good. Never had a bad meal.
I went after having heard the food was good, came out as a big disappointment, food was like the decor, pretty drab! A pretty avoidable fare
