The service at this restaurant is FANTASTIC! My family and I visit this restaurant a lot whenever we celebrate birthdays. On our last visit, we ordered the family boat which is a meal for six. We were a party of 8 and the waitress gave us all a serving, without leaving anyone out. The fish....mmmm so delicious. Its fresh and really tasty! Overall, this restaurant is good in my books!

I love Niji Sushi! Great food, great bang for the buck! When you dine-in, they serve you extra appetizers for free (ie. seaweed w/ hot sauce, fried mackarel and this really yummy chicken porridge). Portions are generous and delicious. You're sure to be full by the end of your meal. Almost always I have to take home leftovers. In addition, they also have a few Korean dishes in their menu (I think the owners are Korean?) such as bimbimbap. Customer service is great, and almost always consistent. Only once or twice when it was really busy we had to wait really long. The place is also clean and sanitary, which is very important to me when dining in as I can't enjoy even the best food if the environment is disgusting. Pick-up orders are always ready when they say they're going to be ready. Overall in terms of quality of food, price and customer service, I would say Niji is the best place to go for sushi in the Scarborough area. Highly recommended.

Thumbs up

TBH, when I first walked into the restaurant, I didn't expect much. The place was quiet and fairly small. My friend and I looked through the menu and decided to order the love boat for two.....never had it before, but we thought we'd give it a try. ANYHOW, we started off with salad, miso soup, as well as a few pieces of makarel (MMM!!). After that came the boat, then BULGOGI (my favourite :D). Dessert was green tea ice cream, as well as a few slices of orange. The service was great. It's a really cozy place, and the environment is nice and close to home (at least for me). I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone who wants a quiet sit down dinner.

My wife and I stopped by after going to the movies. We had always commented on the restaurant when driving by so decided to try it. It was pretty busy inside. We only really wanted a snack so were ordered the Sushi Pizza, Tempura, and the Sushi Appetizer. First off the tea was barely that, very weak stuff. The Sushi Appetizer was quite good but that was about it. The tempura was really greasy and goopy, far from crispy and flakey like it should be. Sushi pizza is one of my all time favourite dishes, unfortunately the Ni Ji version was truly horrible. In fact inedible. I had to go buy some candy in order to get the taste of the sushi pizza out of my mouth. Service was ok at best.

Overall: A fantastic dining experience. High quality food and friendly service in a cozy family business setting. Location: very easy to find right on the Ellsmere and Midland intersection. Parking: very easy at the back of the restaurant, accessible from both of the roads. Food: The bantos came with salad and 2 different kinds of soup as for entree and they were delicious, an excellent intro into the main course which was served on a banto tray with compartments. Each compartment contained either sushi or california rolls, rice or vermicelli, etc. and the main dish that you ordered for example chicken teriyaki. We were amazed how all of these little dishes complemented together so finely that we just felt full but not sick of the food. We were also impressed with the very fresh salmon and tuna sushi. In the end we were too full so had to pack home some of the california rolls. Service: the waitresses were friendly. The food came rather soon, or a lot sooner than in some of our dining experiences. Price: very reasonable. Definitely good value.
